ABSTRACT: Lähtökohtana seminaarille oli Unescon vuonna 1974 hyväksymä suositus, joka koskee kasvatusta kansainväliseen ymmärtämykseen, yhteistyöhön ja rauhaan sekä ihmisoikeuksien ja perusvapauksien opetusta.Seminaarin tarkoituksena oli arvioida korkeakoulujen opetusta ja tutkimusta suosituksessa esitettyjen periaatteiden mukaan sekä tehdä korkeakoulujen opetusta ja tutkimusta koskevia ehdotuksia.Seminaarissa korostettin ettei maailmankuvan aineksia ja rauhan ja kehityksen tutkimusongelmia tule pirstoa tai eriyttää muusta opetuksesta. Työryhmien raportit antanevat osviittaa tieteenalakohtaiseen konkretisoimistyöhön, joka seminaarissa nähtiin kansainvälisyysajattelun "filosofisten" perusteiden selvittelyä seuraavana askelena.
